Employment & Training Support

When you feel you are ready to return to work or training we work closely with local organisations who can help you.  They can help with job searching, CV’s, Job Applications, Interview skills, Volunteering, or if you are looking at attending college or further training.  In additional they can signpost to agencies that provide support with many other issues.  For more information ask at any Children’s Centre.

We work closely with Jobcentre Plus and other agencies who are able to provide services relating to helping you get back into work or training.

Jobcentre Plus have a specifically trained advisor who can advise parents about the right routes to take to ensure that the transition into work or training is as smooth as possible. They offer help with job searches, training, childcare and the ‘Better off calculation’, which works out how much parents would be better off per week by moving from benefits and into work.
