Family Support Worker – Job Description & Person Specification

 We currently have a vacancy for a Family Support Worker to join the Family Support Team based at Field Lane Children’s Centres.  You will need substantial experience of paid work in supporting families, as well as experience of working within Child Protection guidelines and being part of the Early Intervention Single Assessment (previously CAF).

Please note that the GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths at Grade C or above is no longer an essential requirement for the post.

Early Years Practitioner – Job Description & Person Specification

An Early Years practitioner position has become available to work in our exciting Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ nursery.

 Are you passionate about working with young children? Do you want to come to work and have fun?

Do you like painting, building, reading, playing? If so then we have the job for you!

This is a permanent position working 37 hours a week on a rota system covering the hours of 8am-6pm.

This post is suitable for unqualified workers willing to train to at least NVQ level 2 in childcare, level 2 qualified or level 3 newly qualified staff. It offers the opportunity to gain experience and a qualification whilst working in this role.

Domestic – Job Description and Person Specification

Purpose of post:

  • To provide domestic assistance in the kitchen including preparation and serving of meals and snacks.
  • To ensure acceptable standards of Health and Safety in the work environment.
  • To assist in the maintenance of the building, furniture and equipment.
  • To ensure an acceptable standard of cleanliness and tidiness with in centre.
  • To Deputise in the absence of the Cook and/or cleaners.

Main duties include:

  • Kitchen duties to include; food preparation, washing up, serving food and cleaning.
  • General cleaning and maintenance duties e.g. washing, vacuuming, polishing and dusting all items of furniture and equipment in all designated areas.
  • Laundry duties.
  • Maintenance of hygiene in communal areas, e.g. toilets, bathrooms.
  • Small maintenance tasks. Defective equipment to be reported according to policy. Cleaner – Job Description & Person Specification

North Halifax Partnership rely on an experienced and committed team of support staff to ensure that Children’s Centre services are offered in a high quality and clean environment.  For all support posts there will be regular working outside of Centre opening hours and a potential requirement to take responsibility for locking and unlocking buildings.

With experience of cleaning to a high standard you will be responsible for working with other support staff to agree cleaning duties.  You will carry out these duties to ensure that Children’s Centre services consistently operate in a high quality and clean environment.
