As well as helping you feel great, all exercises are going to help you prepare your body for the later stages of pregnancy, birth and beyond The course is suitable for women in their 2^nd and 3^rd trimester.

The Play Development Service offers free, open access and inclusive play sessions. They are for children and young people aged 5 to 14 years in the communities where they live in Calderdale.

Children born between 1st September 2019 and 31st August 2020 are due to start primary school in September 2024. The application process opens on 17th November 2023 and you have until 15th January 2024. 

As part of Baby Week, we’re holding a one-off Baby Art and Creative Play session!

This is suitable for babies from 0-18months and each baby will receive a free wooden footprint keepsake to treasure forever.

The sessions will take place:

Wednesday 15th November 1.30 – 2.30pm at Southgate Methodist Church

Monday 20th November, 12.30 -1.30pm at Illingworth Children’s Centre

This takes place 14th – 20th November 2023 with the theme of ‘play’ showcasing activities and support available for parents and their babies across the borough.

Baby Week forms part of the Calderdale Family Hub offer and supports the Calderdale Wellbeing Strategy priority for all children to be ready for school. We want children to have the best chance to be healthy, happy and successful, as part of our Vision 2024 for Calderdale to be a place where everyone can reach their potential and live a larger life.
